A Letter from LRA President on President's Day!
A Letter from LRA President on President's Day!
As the 2024 President of the Lakeshore REALTORS® Association, I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I have owned Red Arrow Real Estate in Cedarburg for nine years and have been in the real estate business since 2010. My husband Dave and I are originally from the Eau Claire area. We have two daughters and a black lab/border collie (who is my favorite child). Dave is a police officer in Glendale, so feel free to name drop if you find yourself speeding to Trader Joe’s between showings.
Dave and I own single family rental properties on the Milwaukee/Glendale border, as well as a few short-term vacation rental properties in Upper Michigan. I spend a lot of time in the summer at our cottage in the U.P. I spend the rest of the summer wishing I was at the cottage in the U.P. I’m also an avid gardener, novice woodworker, intense Packer fan and bird watcher extraordinaire.
My goal this year as LRA President is to equip our members with the tools they need to navigate this weird market we’re about to experience. I want Lakeshore REALTORS® to be set apart from other REALTORS® in their knowledge of client care, professionalism, and real estate expertise. We have a lot of programming planned to help make this a reality.
I hope you’ll join us at some of our many scheduled Lunch and Learns, and I especially hope you’ll attend the negotiation seminar on March 21st. Featuring Michael Walker, an insanely engaging nationally renowned speaker known for his insightful approach to negotiation tactics, this specific course is intended to benefit our entire membership, including affiliates. Effective communication is fundamental to successful negotiation, a skill essential for all of us as we interact with customers and clients.
Lastly, if you haven't already, I highly recommend joining us at our Thirsty Thursday events. These gatherings provide a platform for our seasoned members to share their invaluable knowledge, a tradition that has been passed down through the association's history. Some of the most valuable insights I've gained have come from fellow REALTORS® at events like these.
I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2024!
